SPECIAL COLLECTION TODAY

A special collection will be made today to cover the shortfall in contribution for 2011. Our goal is $100,000 — four times our pledges for 2012. The special collection is over and above the regular contribution for January 2012.

CHILDREN’S OFFERING

The Children Ministry is embarking on a project to teach children to be intentional in giving. Starting this month, each child will have a “piggy” bank to save coins at home and bring it to church on the first Sunday every month as an offering. We thank the Children Ministry for inculcating the habit of giving in our young ones.

COURAGEOUS – FATHERING MOVIE

We have booked 134 tickets for Courageous, a movie on fatherhood. It will be screened at The Cathay Hall 5, at 12.30 pm on 14 Jan 2012. Pasir Panjang, CitiVision, Bedok and Woodlands churches will be joining us for this movie.

We strongly encourage all to watch it with their families. It is a great way to start the year with a focus on family. Hurry and sign up on the notice board for ticket reservations. Only 40 tickets left.

.

ANGKOR OF FAITH 6

The sixth amazing Angkor of Faith in Siem Reap will be held from 11 – 16 March 2012. Registration is now open. Please register and book your flight as soon as you have decided to go to avoid disappointment.

The website for registration is: aof6.co.cc

All participants are encouraged to take the Jetstar Asia flight which leaves on 11 March afternoon and returns on 18 March late afternoon. When you have registered and booked your tickets, please send your particulars to jennifer@moulmeinchurch.com

LIVING SACRIFICES: SERVANTS & STEWARDS

The heart of worship goes beyond beautiful songs and heartfelt emotions. In Romans 12:1 we are taught: “Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship.”” Being servants and stewards is being like Christ. It is holy, it is pleasing to God.

We have been blessed for so many years. We have tasted God’s mercy. In 2012, let’s come to God. Let’s be transformed. Let’s serve. Let’s be living Sacrifices.

To kick-start this, we are launching a study of the book of Romans, which will run for 3–4 months. We will come together for a short lesson, and then split up to our respective classes to see how we may apply it to our lives.
